ID.4 Maintenance Timeline




First minor maintenance service at 15,000 km or 1 year after delivery, whichever occurs first. Minor maintenance services occur at intervals of 30,000 km or every 2 years after the last minor maintenance service, whichever occurs first.

First standard maintenance service at 30,000 km or 2 years after delivery, whichever occurs first. Standard maintenance services thereafter occur at intervals of 30,000 km or every 2 years after the last standard maintenance service, whichever occurs first.


*The intervals shown below are based on vehicles operating under normal conditions. In case of severe conditions, such as extremely low temperatures, excessive dust, etc., it is necessary for certain operations to be carried out in between the given intervals.

⚙️ Battery, High-voltage: Check charge level and charge as necessary
⚙️ Body Interior and Exterior: Check for corrosion
⚙️ Brake fluid: Check level depending on brake wear
⚙️ Brake Pads (Front and Rear): Check the thickness and brake disc condition. Look for contact pattern and corrosion of brake discs
⚙️ Brake System and Shock Absorbers: Check for leaks and damage
⚙️ Charging cable: Check that the cable is present and check the condition of the cable
⚙️ Coil Springs and Rubber Stop Buffers: Inspect for damage
⚙️ Cooling System: Check frost protection and coolant level
⚙️ Exterior lighting: Check function of front and rear lights, headlights (adjust if necessary), automatic headlights (if equipped), turn
signals, cornering lights, and hazard warning lights
⚙️ Guided Fault Finding: Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to check for, resolve, and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes that may be
present
⚙️ Headlight Washing System: Check function (if equipped)
⚙️ High-voltage Charging Sockets in Radiator Grille and Filler Cap: Inspect for dirt, debris, and damage
⚙️ High-voltage components and High-voltage Cables: Inspect for damage and correct routing and securing
⚙️ Horn: Check function
⚙️ Interior lighting: Check function of the headliner, luggage compartment and glove compartment
⚙️ Motor and Motor compartment components (from above): Check for leaks and damage
⚙️ Motor and Motor compartment components (from below): Check related components including transmission, final drive, and drive axle boots for leaks and damage
⚙️ Service interval display: Reset
⚙️ Suspension and Steering: Check ball joints, wheel bearings, drive axles, coupling rods, tie rod ends, and stabilizer bar rubber bushings for damage and excessive play.
⚙️ Test Drive: Check braking, steering, electrical, heating/ventilation systems, air conditioning, handling, and parking brake
⚙️ Tire pressure: Check LF________ RF________ LR ________ RR ________ Spare ________
⚙️ Tire Repair Kit: Check for damage and prior use
⚙️ Tires: Check condition and wear pattern. Record tread depth
⚙️ Tire Pressure Monitoring System: Calibrate to correct tire pressure settings
⚙️ Tires: Rotate
⚙️ Underbody: Check underbody protection, underbody trim panels, wire routing, and plugs for damage
⚙️ Warning Labels: Check that they are present
⚙️ Windshield: Check for damage
⚙️ Windshield Wiper/Washer System: Check for damage, function and adjust spray nozzle if necessary, fluid level, and freeze protection

Additional Maintenance


Brake fluid: Change
2 years after registration and then every 2 years regardless of mileage

Dust and Pollen Filter: Replace
